KINGS CLUB has been years in the making, even if the club itself is only just beginning.

Since moving to Singapore, I have always had an ambition to find my way back towards cricket and sport more generally.

Over time, that happened naturally.

I began coaching more. I worked with clubs and schools across Singapore.I coached juniors, adults, beginners and established players, and gradually developed a better understanding of the sporting landscape here.

Singapore has some unique challenges when it comes to sport.

Facilities are difficult to secure. Coaching programmes often have to work with large numbers. In cricket especially, that can mean a player spending an hour or two at training but getting very little…
